Who we are...
EmploymentProwler.com is the first in a series of Subject Oriented Search (SOS) websites designed by GivenInformation.com. The intent of SOS is to provide a new level of service for anyone searching for specific information.
SOS is not a new concept but has been used primarily in commerce oriented business models. Good examples of this are the many price comparison websites such as Nextag.com*. Another popular SOS site is Kayak.com* which provides a search of the various travel sites.
While the "search everything" websites (like Google and Yahoo) are certainly great for general searching, a subject oriented search can narrow and refine results when you are looking for a particular type of information. Usually SOS sites have a pre-defined list of websites to be searched and in many cases the data returned from the search is extracted and reformatted to create a list with a consistant look and feel.
What sets EmploymentProwler.com apart from the other SOS sites? EmploymentProwler.com is designed to search Job Listings instead of product or service listings. Obviously when searching for a job you want very specific results that can't be obatined by the big search engines and jumping around to hundreds of job sites would be a huge effort. EmploymentProwler.com was designed to fill this need.
If you visit EmploymentProwler.com daily then the Quick Search will be handy since it provides listings posted in the last 24 hours. The Advanced Search will provide you with options to be more selective in your search results.
We wish you success in your job search and hope that you will continue to let us prowl the internet for you.

FAQs
Q. How much do you charge to use this service?
A. Nothing. This site is free to everyone.
Q. How much does it cost to post a job listing?
A. Sorry, we don't sell job listings. We are a search engine (like Google) not a job listing board (like Monster).
Q. How often do you refresh your data?
A. Job searches are performed immediately after you click search. We will store the results temporarily in what is called a cache for a very short period but then it is discarded. This keeps all of our results as up-to-date as possible.
Q. How do I upload my resume to EmploymentProwler.com?
A. We do not collect personal information, not even your resume. Imagine our service more like a
"Google for Job Listings". We recommend that you set up an account on any of the sites we search that consistently provides you with good results. We provide the name and a link to every provider (on each listing).
Q. Which sites do you search?
A. This is actually hard to answer because many of the job sites (including big names like Dice.com) are hosted through service providers. We go directly to the service providers which can provide hundreds, even thousands of sites. Feel free to let us know if you think we are missing a good job site in our search.
